What is a 2FA TOTP code generator?

A TOTP generator creates time-based one-time passwords (RFC 6238) from a Base32 secret key. These are the 6-digit codes used by apps like Google Authenticator for two-factor authentication.

Is this compatible with Google Authenticator?

Yes. This tool uses the same RFC 6238 TOTP algorithm as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, and 2fa.cn. Any valid Base32 secret key will produce identical codes.

Are my secret keys stored on the server?

No. The generator runs entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API. Your secret keys are saved only in your browser's localStorage and never sent to any server.
